What’s new in World Golf Village – Your Commercial and Residential Update is Here!

As you have probably noticed, there is a lot of residential and commercial construction going on in World Golf Village and the surrounding areas. In the second quarter 2014 Metro Study report, World Golf Village was ranked in the top ten communities for annual construction starts with 86 homes under construction. Two of World Golf Village’s premier communities, The Cascades and Heritage Landing, are building out their remaining few homesites and The Residences’ new condominium phase, La Fontana at the Residences, will begin construction of a new building of 13 condominium homes in September. There are 23 homes currently under construction in the King & Bear from Laterra Links’ luxury coach homes to magnificent custom homes. As you can see, there is a lot going on!

World Golf Village is currently 80 percent built-out if you remove the South Tract from the approved numbers. World Golf Village as a whole is permitted for 7,200 homes. The South Tract, known as Whisper Creek, was owned by Landmar and is expected to undergo a name change and new construction in 2015.

As far as commercial construction goes, if you have driven by Saint Johns Place you have seen the new sign for Good News Church, where they will build their new WGV Campus. Also, construction has begun on The Village Dentist office in front of the BP station.

In the Shoppes of Murabella, construction is underway on an office for Mill Creek Dental Care and 52 single family lots are being developed behind the fire station for a new community called Verona. Dream Finders Homes is selling in Verona now.

Lastly, the Gate Station should be under construction before long! It is nice to see commercial and new home construction in our area again. For any more information on residential or commercial real estate in our area, please call Sherry Davidson at (904) 940-5000.
