Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson and I were excited to get a personal tour of Palencia Elementary School (PES) from Principal Don Campbell. Don has been in education for more than 40 years and specializes in opening new schools, such as Wards Creek Elementary in World Golf Village, and now Palencia Elementary, which opened in August of 2012. Palencia Elementary is one of our most leading edge St. Johns County Schools and caters to 738 students. Come along with us for a tour!

Davidson Realty launched their non-profit foundation, Davidson Cares, in November of 2013 to offer support for local schools in the World Golf Village area, including Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School. Davidson Cares has given a total of $11,300 to the four schools mentioned above in less than six months!

I, along with many of my World Golf Village neighbors, have been waiting for a great sushi and hibachi grilled table restaurant to come to our area for quite some time now. Luckily, our prayers have been answered! Sumo Sushi is a Japanese Steak House that recently opened off of CR 210 (right behind the McDonalds) and is the perfect place for a date night, lunch date, friends get-together or celebrating a birthday!

Family Fun Day Benefiting Haven Hospice at the Palatka City Dock!

The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors’ (NEFAR) 10th Annual Bass Fishing Tournament benefiting Haven Hospice is almost here! Grab your family and plan for a day of fun at the dock on April 27th. Not only are fishermen invited to do what they love for a great cause, there are many activities for the whole family from 11 am to 5 pm!
Some of the great family-friendly activities include a kids’ casting tournament, kids’ fish tank fishing experience, opportunities for pictures with alligators and other reptiles, a variety of delicious food and merchandise vendors, music, raffle prizes, and more! The Humane Society will be present with a pet adoption tent for all you animal lovers.

Davidson Cares Awards $4,800 in Grants to Local St. Johns County Public Schools!

Davidson Cares, the corporate giving program of Davidson Realty and the Davidson Companies, focuses on supporting local St. Johns County public schools in and around the World Golf Village area. Last week, Davidson Cares board members and team visited Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School to award each winning video from their grant program $1,000 and all other video submissions received $100 towards their needs. Congratulations to all the winners!
