FREE Seminar on Skin Cancer Prevention and Skin Care

docSkin cancer is the most common form of cancer throughout the United States. Over the past 31 years, more people have had skin cancer than any other form of cancers combined. It is said that one in five Americans will develop some form of skin cancer during their lifetime.

There is some good news. Skin cancer can be prevented with the proper steps and caution. On Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 pm Dr. Robert Brown of North Florida Dermatology Associates will be presenting a free seminar on Skin Care and Skin Prevention. Hosted by the Davidson Realty as part of their Davidson Speaker Series, Dr. Brown will discuss the importance of sun protection, regular skin check-ups and how to navigate the sea of SPF (Sun Protection Factor) ratings.  Dr. Brown will also discuss how important it is for children to be aware of skin cancer at an early age. “Rates of skin cancer in children, teens and young adults are growing at an alarming rate,” Dr. Brown cautioned.  Throughout the seminar, Dr. Brown will be answering questions, providing insights, and giving advice for minimizing skin aging and maximizing skin health. World Golf Village Women’s Mixer on April 26th – Put a Girl’s Night on Your Calendar!

CosmopolitanThe second annual Women’s Mixer is back by popular demand! It will be held at Davidson Realty, Inc. located at 100 East Town Place at the entrance to World Golf Village on Thursday, April 26th beginning at 7 pm. We are so excited to have more than 20 women vendors participating with us this year! A variety of women-owned area businesses and experts will be spotlighting their services and products. What’s even better is this event is free and open to the public as part of Davidson Realty’s monthly Davidson Speaker Series events.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy complimentary wine and a specialty cocktail. There will be cheese and crackers and other delicious snacks from participating vendors. Business Profile: Wellness Matters – A Biological Path to Achieving Optimum Health & Vitality

health & welness speaker seriesWhen Davidson Realty Agent Ana Speziale extolled the virtues of Wellness Matters, a clinic based in Palencia that helps clients achieve health and wellness through holistic and biological medicine, we invited Co-owner Susan Burns (Wellness Matters is owned by Susan Burns and Kay Turbyfill) to be our featured speaker at the Davidson Speaker Series in February.  It was a fascinating presentation and it made us want to learn more about the clinic and what they do. 

“Often times our clients come to us when they have been let down by main stream medicine,” said Burns.  “We practice biological medicine which is an integrated and more thorough approach than traditional medicine.  We’re not concerned with merely treating symptoms; we’re interested in getting to the root cause of a health issue,” explained Burns.
