When she moved to her seventh state in 2008, Margherite Myers found a place she can truly call home in World Golf Village.

Having resided in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New Hampshire and North Carolina, Margherite relocated to Columbia, South Carolina and became an established Realtor, evening earning Century 21’s coveted Ruby Award. After 20 years in the Palmetto state, she made her way south to St. Augustine. Today, the Davidson Realty agent lives in Waterbury by the Links and loves the weather, culture, and natural beauty of our area.

Most recently, Margherite was named as a 2013 Five Star Real Estate Professional by Jacksonville Magazine, an esteemed award based on customer nominations.  We recently got the chance to learn a bit more about Margherite, her real estate career, and her experience living in World Golf Village.

If you ask Don Poppleton what inspired him and his wife Barbara to relocate from New England to World Golf Village more than 10 years ago, he might say it’s partly in the name.  A champion golfer, Don now enjoys beautiful views of the King & Bear from his back yard in Windmill Estates and close proximity to top notch courses and amenities.

Don has also secured a position as a notable contributor to the community.  He is currently serving in his second term on the Member Advisory Committee for the World Golf Village Golf Courses Club, and concluded his term as President last year.

We recently caught up with Don to ask some questions about himself and his experience here in World Golf Village.

The World Golf Village has residents of all sorts, each with their own special view of the community.  We recently caught up with Ernie B. Davidson, a resident with a unique perspective on life here and a great personality to boot.  Here’s a look at 3-year-old Ernie and his life in World Golf Village.

First of all, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat.  How long have you lived here in World Golf Village?  “I was born and raised here.  I live in GroveWood in the King & Bear with my mom, an uncle, and a cat-brother Hubert.  They are very good servants except for Hubert, who is decidedly unaccommodating.  Mom keeps saying I have a new brother or sister coming soon, but I don’t know how to feel about that.”

Our final video in the three-step process of building your dream home with Arthur Rutenberg Homes showcases the construction process with builder Mark Refosco. Fortunately, we were able to visit two very special homes currently under construction in World Golf Village’s King & Bear neighborhood, so you can see the high quality and attention-to-detail Rutenberg delivers.

Mark explains, “You dream, we build” and that’s exactly what they do! One family from northern Pennsylvania chose sunny Northeast Florida for relocation to escape the cold.  As you can see in our video, the weather in February was pretty perfect! The Pennsylvania family took the Mediterranean style plan from the model home we saw on our first video and customized the plan choosing a French Country elevation. They customized the kitchen layout and the owner is working with her cabinet specialist from up north to make her dream kitchen come to life!
