Since our last visit to Mile Marker Brewery, the brew masters have added some great new unique beers on tap, entertainment, and BBQ for everyone to enjoy. As one of the fastest growing breweries in America’s oldest city, Mile Marker truly has exceeded all expectations in craft brewing and excellent service.
Let’s begin with the most important thing about Mile Marker…the beer! Since our last video, the brew masters have been working extremely hard to create one-of-a-kind beers that are like none other out there. The one I was most excited about was the double brewed IPA, known as the 215 Imperial IPA. If you are an IPA person like yours truly, you will enjoy this. The 215 is in reference to the Kennedy Space Center’s exit and the rebel spacecraft on the tap is there because they used both Millennium and Falconer Flight Hops. Another stand out was the Ginger Ale. A very smooth beer with hints of ginger amongst it, this is a great dinner beer, especially if you have a nice sushi roll to go along with it. The other two that are new since our last video are the Pecan Brown Ale and the Coconut Porter. Both are very flavorful, smooth and if you like a darker beer they are right up your alley.
So what is there to do while you drink all these amazing craft beers? Besides the under the sea type atmosphere in their tap room, Mile Marker has added some great games and entertainment that will make you never want to leave. To start off, they have a Corn Hole Tournament every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. The turnout has been progressively growing and it’s a great opportunity to meet other locals. The 1st and 2nd place teams are rewarded with growlers and bar tab prizes. Another new addition is their brand new Beer Ball game. It’s an off shoot of the skee ball game, but instead of winning tickets and getting a cheap toy, you win vouchers off your Mile Marker beer. If you score over 400 points you get $4 off and if you score over 600 points you get $8 off your beer. So warm up your throwing arm because once you start Beer Ball you’re not going to want to stop! Last, but certainly not least, is the live music. Mile Marker has started letting local musicians come in and play for their patrons on the weekends.
After a few hours of tasting their delicious beers, playing Beer Ball, ping pong and darts you may get a little hungry, but don’t you worry. Mile Marker has gotten together with Barbeque Lane to set up a tent outside that serves unbelievable BBQ. With pork, chicken, and ribs to choose from, you will not be disappointed by the succulent and flavorful sandwiches and platters they have to offer. Barbeque Lane caters to parties, special events, and company functions.
With Mile Marker constantly growing I’m sure there will be many more updates coming your way. Until then, stop by Mile Marker and check out all the new improvements, beers, and events. I can promise you, you will not be disappointed with the great service and friendly atmosphere they have to offer.
