Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson and I recently sat down with Emerald Homes’ New Home Consultant Katrina Watkins to learn more about Emerald Homes. Emerald’s exquisite model is right down the road from Davidson Realty’s office in the beautiful King & Bear Community in World Golf Village, so we were very interested to learn more about the company’s history, what other communities they’re building in and their customization process.

Katrina explained that Emerald Homes has been part of the widely-known and respected DR Horton family since 2001. DR Horton formed Emerald Homes as the new luxury brand for the builder and they recently began building in the North Florida area. Emerald Homes is also building in other parts of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. They offer stylish and spacious designs and are very happy to tailor their home plans to your style and needs.

Emerald Homes is currently building in six distinct communities around North Florida. There are 32 homesites available in the King & Bear, some offering breath-taking views of the world-renowned King & Bear golf course. The King & Bear floor plans range from 2,680 to 4,884 square feet (and up) and the pricing begins in the low $500,000s. You will also find Emerald Homes in Istoria, Windalier at Vilano Beach, Sunset Inlet, The Preserve at Summer Beach and Deerwood Country Club. Windalier at Vilano Beach is located very close to Serenata Beach Club and offers interior lots with marsh views and ocean front lots. You can find a similar product line to the King & Bear at Deerwood Country Club where Katrina specializes and runs the model home.

Even though Emerald Homes offers a variety of their own unique floor plans that combine luxury and function, they will also work with you to tailor their design to your needs. Katrina explains that Emerald Homes will customize plans for their customers. If you would like to make any changes including moving walls, adding third, fourth or golf cart garages, interior or exterior changes, they can make that happen! They are also willing to entertain doing construction on a home design you bring them, but the home will have to be lot specific. Buyers are granted so much flexibility with Emerald!
