We are pleased to announce that Davidson Realty’s corporate giving program, Davidson Cares, successfully raised more than $2,000 from its Leprechaun Chase 10k/5k and Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday, March 7, held at World Golf Village’s town center!
The race included 220 runners and walkers whose entries helped Davidson Cares raise funds for local schools, including Mill Creek Elementary School, Wards Creek Elementary School, Palencia Elementary School, Pacetti Bay Middle School and Nease High School. More than 40 children participated in the one-mile Kid’s Fun Run around World Golf Village’s Walk of Champions.
Top overall 10k race winners included Xi Cao in the men’s division and Laura Dobbs in the women’s division. Overall 5k winners included Kurt Hubbard in the men’s division and Peyton Hendricks in the women’s division.
The race’s “leprechaun,” played by Taulant Marra, was on hand to cheer on race participants at the finish line.
Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson said, “We want to thank everyone who came out to support Davidson Cares at this year’s race. We had so many great folks there from competitive runners to families with strollers and dogs. Everyone had a great time.”
“We also want to thank our race title sponsor Charles Schwab for their support in making this event possible,” she added.
Davidson Cares recently concluded its annual voting period in which each school submitted fundraising videos, and website visitors voted for their favorite submissions. In late March, grant checks will be awarded to schools for books, technology and student programs.
