Our community Relay for Life is back and will take place in the heart of World Golf Village this year (1 World Golf Village Place) at the Pond of Unity by the Hall of Fame. The relay is an American Cancer Society event, put on to raise money to end cancer. It celebrates those who are battling cancer, remembers loved ones lost, and takes action to finish the fight against this horrible disease. Come out and join the fight this Saturday, April 25th from noon to midnight!

This year, World Golf Village’s Relay for Life has 25 teams participating, including Mill Creek Elementary, Davidson Realty, The Cascades, Murray Bro’s Caddyshack, Bug Out, Palencia Elementary, the King & Bear, Nike, Flagler College, Walgreens and more. There are over 150 participants and the teams have already raised over $22,000 towards a cure for cancer! The theme this year is “United for a Cure” and each team is representing a state.

Join the fight for more birthdays! The Relay will have plenty of entertainment including Showtime USA and belly dancer Liz Rizzolo. There will also be themed laps, including a crazy hat lap, Star Wars lap, zombie lap and more!

The WGV Relay team is still looking for more teams to sign up, as well as cancer survivors. The relay event honors those that have beaten the disease with a luncheon and swag bag. The link for our relay is relayforlife.org/worldgolffl.
