The thing that struck me about talking with Letti Bozard of Bozard Ford Lincoln Mercury was that, despite her family’s legacy of owning and operating the successful St. Augustine dealership for generations, Letti was focused on all the great things Bozard is doing now.  From the new Quick Lane Service Center to the numerous ways the company supports area schools, Bozard is not a company to rest on its laurels.

Its laurels are plentiful by the way.  The company was founded in St. Augustine over 60 years ago and three generations of the Bozard family have operated the local institution.  Today Letti Bozard, Vice President of Community Involvement & Customer Strategy, and her brother Bo Bozard, Controller, are following in the family business.  Jeff King serves as General Manager. The dealership has received numerous awards over the years, including 14 Ford Motor Company President’s Awards, Ford’s highest honor in customer satisfaction. And just last month, Bozard was #1 in sales volume among area Ford Lincoln Mercury dealerships throughout Duval, St. Johns and Clay counties. “It was especially great to see the strong rebound in truck sales last month,” says Bozard.  “July 2011 was the biggest month of F150 Ford Trucks sales ever in our history.”

In November 2008, Bozard moved to a stunning new facility near the St. Augustine Outlet Mall, complete with 32 climate controlled service bays, WiFi in the customer lounge, a no-appointment Quick Lane service for routine maintenance on any make or model and other great amenities. Quick Lane is a one-stop shop that offers maintenance, repairs, tires, brakes – all at competitive pricing.  “Customers are dropping their car off for a oil change while they browse at the outlets.  We also offer a complimentary shuttle to the outlet shops on the west side of I-95,” said Bozard.  At Davidson Realty, we’re thrilled that Bozard is partnering with us to promote our Blood Drive this month! Bozard will be giving away certificates for a free Quick Lane oil change to everyone who comes and donates blood at the Davidson office on August 16 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. 

For her part, Letti Bozard brings a focus on community involvement to the company that’s both thoughtful and strategic. “We employ about 75 people and most of them, including me and Bo, live right here in St. Johns County.  We wanted to make sure that the majority of our community support stays here where we and our customers live.  That’s one reason we’ve put a lot of focus on education,” says Bozard.  She worked in conjunction with Ford Motor Company to bring its Drive One 4 UR School to the St. Johns County high schools of Pedro Menendez, St. Augustine High and Nease – helping the schools raise thousands each.  This year, Bozard plans to hold the same events at Creekside High School and Ponte Vedra High School.  “We really look for hands-on ways to help out the schools, not simply writing a check.  We want to offer financial support, but we also want to connect with the community and even be present ourselves at these events,” says Bozard.

This month, Bozard is gearing up for its first ever Rock & Roll Charity Bash on August 27th.  General Manager Jeff King is on a mission to help St. Augustine’s Junior Service League raise money and the Rock & Roll Charity Bash was an event that appealed to the whole Bozard team.  “It will be a fun, rockin time – no auto sales – just great music and food,” said Bozard.  More information is available on their website at www.bozardford.com.
