New Home ConstructionThe signs of an improving real estate market continue in our northeast Florida golf community. Strong increases in pending home sales, decreases in inventory and higher median prices are welcome signs.  The improvements in real estate sales activity dovetails with an increase in new home construction by major national homebuilders.  Says Sherry Davidson, President of Davidson Realty, “Pending sales are very encouraging.  We wrote over 2,100 contracts in May which was a 36 percent gain over last May.  Meanwhile inventory is down year-to-date over 30 percent.”

National homebuilder Standard Pacific Homes announced eight pre-sales for new homes in the GroveWood neighborhood of World Golf Village’s gated King & Bear community.   Additionally, the company has three spec homes either completed or underway.  The company is offering four floor plans, ranging from about 2,500 to 3,500 square feet.  Pricing starts in the high $200,000’s, and an extensive list of upgrades comes standard with the new homes.

Home ConstructionFor regional homebuilder Inland Homes, two new spec homes in the King & Bear community are nearing completion and are expected to be move-in ready in August.  Inland will soon break ground on another new home in the master-planned golf community.  The Inland homes feature upgraded landscape packages and  range in price from $275,000 to $440,000.

A few custom homes are also under construction in World Golf Village’s King & Bear.  Both Dreamfinders and Advantage Home Builders currently have new homes underway in Waterbury, and Marcus Allen Homes is building a custom home in Windmill Estates.
