Plunge into the New Year the Serenata Beach Club!

If you’re not a Serenata Beach Club member, now is a great time to consider a membership! Why? Because New Year’s Day at the club will be filled with delicious food and shivering swimmers!

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the club will be serving a Breakfast Buffet complete with omelet station, smoked salmon display, waffles, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, assorted pastries and beverage specials. Adults are $16.95, ages 6-12 are $7.95, and ages 3-5 are $4.95. Advanced reservations are recommended so call Serenata at (904) 823-3368 ext. 221 or email reservations@serenataclub.com to reserve your spot.

At 10:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Serenata will host a Polar Bear Plunge in the Atlantic Ocean! All member ages are welcome to participate, so plan to join in the fun with an invigorating dip with the other polar bears!

Davidson Realty’s Mirtha Barzaga To Host Food & Clothing Drive in Heritage Landing

Davidson Realty agent Mirtha Barzaga will be sponsoring a food and supplies drive this Saturday, December 13 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Heritage Landing Amenity Center. All are invited to donate to the drive, which will benefit the Emergency Services & Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County. The drive is co-sponsored by Amenity Services Group, Inc.

Palencia Elementary’s First Annual MOJO BBQ Night is Thursday, December 11th!

Davidson Cares is very excited to be hosting Palencia Elementary’s First Annual MOJO BBQ Night on Thursday, December 11th between 4 and 6 pm! This is a very busy time of year with the holidays upon us, so Davidson Cares has teamed up with MOJO Old City BBQ to provide your family with a night off from cooking while supporting Palencia Elementary at the same time!

Here’s how it works:

1. Simply choose your meal preference:
• Single turkey or pork platter (feeds one adult or two children) – Served with Texas toast, macaroni-n-cheese and green beans. Single platters are $10 (PES receives $5)
• Family platter (feeds family of four) – Served with turkey, pork, Texas toast, macaroni-n-cheese and green beans. Family platters are $30 (PES receives $15)

Over $5,000 Raised for the St Johns County Schools at Davidson Cares’ Novemberfest Fundraiser!

Thank you so much to all of our World Golf Village neighbors, parents and friends for helping to raise over $5,000 for our schools at this year’s Davidson Cares’ Novemberfest Fundraiser! This year’s event was better than ever with live music by Terribly Fantastic, an incredible taco bar, delicious craft beers, delectable wines, and over 45 raffle/silent auction items. All money raised will be donated to Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary, Pacetti Bay Middle School and Nease High School.

The 3rd Annual Davidson Cares Novemberfest is Coming to World Golf Village Nov. 7!

Davidson Realty is thrilled announce that Novemberfest, the annual fundraiser to benefit local schools through non-profit foundation Davidson Cares, is coming home to the Davidson offices on Friday, Nov. 7! Davidson Realty’s office building is located at 100 East Town Place in World Golf Village.

This 3rd annual celebration will truly be an event to remember. Patrons will enjoy refreshing craft beers from Bold City Brewery, delectable wines by Blackstone Grille, and Moe’s Southwestern Grill’s fantastic taco bar. Not to mention the live music and silent auction/raffle items! Tickets are $20 ($15 goes straight to the schools) and all proceeds from the raffle and silent auction items go directly to the schools!

Sample Among 125+ Wines at the 3rd Annual St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival!

As the most widely planted wine producing nation – almost three million acres planted! – Spain has earned a much deserved reputation for its exceptional vino. And now, the aromas and tastes of Spain have come to the Oldest City with the 3rd Annual St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival, a five-day celebration featuring more than 125 wines, delicious fare and plenty of entertainment – all benefiting local causes that need community support.

The festival’s events are steeped in St. Augustine’s rich Spanish culture as well as the fun and whimsy for which our city is known. Here is a summary of the events:

A Round of Golf For a Good Cause… What Could Be Better?

Davidson Realty is thrilled to announce its upcoming title sponsorship of the 19th Annual St. Augustine Youth Services Charity Invitational Golf Classic on Monday, September 22, at Marsh Creek Country Club. Registration begins at 8 a.m., tee-off is at 9 a.m. and an awards luncheon sponsored by the St. Augustine Lions Club will follow the event.

Davidson joins fellow title sponsor Ocean Grove RV Super Center to support the non-profit St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) in its tireless efforts to provide a safe, stable home for young victims of abuse and severe neglect. The caring professionals of SAYS are specially trained to deal with problems unique to children from abusive homes, and its Hutson Family Campus opened in April 2013 to provide a safe, homelike environment for the children to heal, learn and grow both physically and emotionally, and go on to lead positive, healthy lives. All proceeds from the tournament will go to SAYS.

Business Spotlight: Wine Down on Market Street

For Sande Gillard, owner of Wine Down on Market Street, the road to business ownership was like no other road she had been down. After years of professional experience in real estate and bartending, Sande embarked on a new adventure that helped her move past tragedy and utilize perhaps her best attribute: an upbeat, magnetic customer service style that draws people in and makes them feel at home.

Today, Sande has harnessed her experiences and talents and paired them with her passion for wine to create Wine Down on Market Street, a boutique wine shop that opened in Palencia on May 1.
