Davidson Cares, the corporate giving program of Davidson Realty, has reached more than $20,000 in donations for local St. Johns County public schools! The foundation’s second year of operation has seen an outpouring of support in donations and time given by the sponsors, the community, Davidson Realtors and contributors. The foundation’s Title Sponsors include Bank of England, Mile Marker Brewing, St. Augustine Ear, Nose & Throat and La Fontana at the Residences.
Davidson Realty’s VP of Marketing Peyton Davidson and Marketing Coordinator Matt Burkhart had so much fun delivering grant checks to Palencia Elementary School, Wards Creek Elementary School, Pacetti Bay Middle School and Mill Creek Elementary School! The Davidson Cares’ checks were awarded for the inspiring educational grant request videos submitted by teachers and PTO members for the needs within the schools. Voting for the videos took place from January 24th – February 28th and teachers, students, parents, friends and the community were allowed to vote once a day for their favorite video from each school. All four schools received a $1,000 grant for the videos with the most votes and Pacetti Bay got an additional $500 for their anti-bullying efforts due to the importance of the cause. Congratulations to all the winners!
The rain didn’t stop our World Golf Village neighbors and friends from coming out to support the first annual Davidson Cares’ 5k & Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday, February 8th in World Golf Village! There were close to 100 runners that showed up in the rain, including a large group from Mill Creek Elementary school that had been training for the race for months (a big thank you to Mill Creek Elementary School’s Principal Amanda Riedl and Physical Education teacher Bob Larkin for their support). The kid’s games were a hit and Arthur Crofton from Lite 96.1 WEJZ did a wonderful job MC’ing the event. All in all, it was a great day raising money for our local schools, including Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School!
We would like to extend our gratitude to the $500 Davidson Cares sponsors for the 2013-2014 school year! Last year’s sponsors enabled us to donate $11,300 to several local St. Johns County schools, which include Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School. This year is looking even better and we are aiming to double that amount with the help of local businesses that serve as partners in our mission to help local schools. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the following $500 Davidson Cares sponsors:

Our program provides financial support to schools in the World Golf Village area, including Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School. The Meadows is a quaint, family-friendly community located less than two miles from the neighborhood shopping center, Murabella Plaza, in World Golf Village. It was designed and developed with affordability in mind, plus all the relationship benefits of living in World Golf Village. Come along with Davidson Realty agent Lynn Whitley and I as we explore The Meadows!
You would be hard pressed to find a more passionate education advocate than Heritage Landing resident Debbie Adams. As a long-time teacher and mother, she utilizes her passion to dedicate her time to several organizations with one common focus: kids. Most recently, she agreed to serve on the Board of Davidson Cares, Davidson Realty’s corporate giving program dedicated to supporting local schools – specifically Wards Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary, and Pacetti Bay Middle School.
Great news for our World Golf Village neighbors and other St. Johns County residents! Davidson Realty recently announced the creation of their new Davidson Cares Foundation and Program to support St. Johns County schools, including Wards Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary School, and Pacetti Bay Middle School. The foundation will be funded by proceeds from real estate sales along with great local fundraising events, like their first event at Mile Marker Brewery on Friday, November 9th! It’s great to see local businesses coming together to support our schools!
Pacetti Bay Middle School Principal Sue Sparkman announced last week the school was awarded the renowned International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program designation following a stringent and lengthy evaluation process. Pacetti Bay is the only middle school in northern St. Johns County to have received the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program honor. The process for Pacetti Bay to become an IB school began soon after the school opened in 2005. The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
