You would be hard pressed to find a better example of dedication to community than Shelby Heinemann. A resident of Heritage Landing since 2004, Shelby has become a fixture in the World Golf Village scene. In fact, if you live here or have kids in the area’s schools, you have likely seen her busily helping out at school, showing properties to potential new residents, or smiling and waving at neighbors. For Shelby, it’s these seemingly small gestures that add up in a meaningful way.

Shelby has been a Property Manager with the Davidson Companies since May 2012 and boasts almost seven years of experience in the Property Management field – most of that experience garnered in World Golf Village. A mother of three, she is also an active education advocate within St. Johns County Schools and a Davidson Cares Board member. Davidson Cares is an organization that offers support for local schools, including Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary, and Pacetti Bay Middle School.

Comments Off on Come out to Support Our Local Schools at Davidson Cares’ Second Annual Novemberfest on November 8th!

We would like to extend our gratitude to the $500 Davidson Cares sponsors for the 2013-2014 school year! Last year’s sponsors enabled us to donate $11,300 to several local St. Johns County schools, which include Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School.  This year is looking even better and we are aiming to double that amount with the help of local businesses that serve as partners in our mission to help local schools. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the following $500 Davidson Cares sponsors:

  • Arthur Rutenberg Homes: Offering luxury custom-built homes in Northeast Florida, Arthur Rutenberg Homes invites the public to stop by and check out its exquisite model home in Palencia! The company is also building in Glen Kernan, Pablo Creek Reserve, Queen’s Harbor, The Plantation at Ponte Vedra and World Golf Village.
  • The Salameh Group: In addition to working with the top rated insurance carriers in Florida, The Salameh Group is committed to offering its clients the best insurance plans possible and providing top-notch customer service.

Education is a top priority for the area’s parents and educators in St. Johns County Schools. A great example of this commitment is found in Mill Creek Elementary Principal Amanda Riedl. We recently caught up with Amanda to learn more about her background and her dedication to providing the best in academic excellence to local students.

Having grown up in the panhandle’s Okaloosa County, Amanda is a Floridian through and through. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, she and her husband relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to learning to live and drive in snow for the first time, Amanda pursued her passion for education with the North Kansas City School District.

Comments Off on Davidson Realty Forms Davidson Cares Foundation to Support St. Johns County Schools

children-around-the-worldPacetti Bay Middle School Principal Sue Sparkman announced last week the school was awarded the renowned International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program designation following a stringent and lengthy evaluation process.  Pacetti Bay is the only middle school in northern St. Johns County to have received the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program honor. The process for Pacetti Bay to become an IB school began soon after the school opened in 2005.  The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
